About this treatment

A facial cleanse removes what clogs your pores (sebum, dirt and dead cells) so your skin can breathe and absorb your products properly. At DermLux it comes in three versions. The classic cleanse (45 minutes) covers the essentials: steam and extractions, a hydrogel mask and light therapy. The 5-step cleanse (1 hour 15 minutes) adds diamond microdermabrasion for glow and a head and neck massage. The 8-Step Facial (1 hour 45 minutes) is our most complete facial: it adds lymphatic massage, high frequency, Hydrofacial and a Skin Analyser skin analysis. All are performed by our specialist aestheticians, for men and women of every skin type.

The Skin Analyser photographs your skin under UV and polarised light and shows what a mirror cannot. It is included in the 8-Step Facial; with the 5-step cleanse it is €15 and 15 minutes extra.

How Does It Work?

Which Areas Can Be Treated?

All facial areas, including the forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks. The treatment can also extend to the neck and décolletage if needed.

Is the Procedure Painful?

The procedure is nearly painless, though mild discomfort may occur during sebum extraction, especially in sensitive areas or clogged pores.

What Are the Side Effects?

Mild redness or slight swelling may appear but usually subsides within a few hours. In rare cases, small inflammations may occur, especially if proper hygiene practices are not followed.

What Are the Contraindications?

Active acne with inflammation, irritated or damaged skin, skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, recent facial procedures (e.g., laser treatments), pregnancy or breastfeeding (depending on the products used).

What Precautions Should Be Taken After the Treatment?

Use sunscreen with a high SPF; avoid applying makeup for 24 hours; avoid direct sun exposure, sauna, or swimming pools for 2-3 days; use gentle skincare products and avoid exfoliants for at least a week.
